Lamb Shank

Did you know that Lamb shank is a great source of protein and provides you with a multitude of vitamins and minerals? One of the best ways to cook a Lamb Shank is to braise it! To top off these tasty shanks, we suggest plating them over a bed of polenta.

Preferred Cooking Method: Second City Prime's preferred cooking method for the Lamb Shank is to braise it in the oven. Set your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. To meet your desired doneness, we recommend using a meat thermometer to keep an eye on the internal temperature of your meat.

Preferred Cooking Time: The Lamb Shanks should be braised in the oven for 2-2 1/2 hours or until the meat is fall apart tender. Be sure the shanks reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees fahrenheit.
