Mangalitsa Italian Sausage

We've been asked a ton why we don't sell an Italian sausage and that's because we haven't come across one that really blows us away...until now.

Made with 100% Mangalitsa hogs, this Italian sausage carries a ton of flavor and what makes it 10 times better are the actual pieces of mild Giardiniera inside. Since they're made from Mangalitsa hogs, the fat content is slightly higher but absolutely on purpose because we LOVE the flavor.

Preferred Cooking Method: Second City Prime's preferred cooking method for the Mangalitsa Italian Sausage is to grill it on indirect heat or on a cast iron (to avoid flare ups)! Set your grill to 350 degrees fahrenheit. To meet your desired doneness, we recommend using a meat thermometer to keep an eye on the internal temperature of your meat.

Preferred Cooking Time: The Italian Sausage should be grilled first over indirect heat for 10 minutes then on direct heat for 5 minutes until your desired level of doneness. We recommend a cooked temperature of 140-145 degrees, slightly pink.
