Preferred Cooking Method: Second City Prime's preferred cooking method for the Prime Center Cut New York Strip is hands down… indirect grilling! Indirect grilling is a better way of cooking thicker cut meats while preserving all the natural juices. First step is to turn on two out of the three burners on your grill. The middle burner should be the one turned off and your grill should be heated to 400 degrees fahrenheit. You will then place your meat on the middle burner while it's off and cover it with the lid. Finally, just wait and enjoy!

Preferred Cooking Time: Indirect grilling steaks is an art that can be hard to master. Here are our suggestions for optimal cooking times. Medium Rare: 60-75 minutes. Medium: 80-95 minutes. Well Done: 100-115 minutes.
