Black Onyx is pure black Angus beef, impeccably bred, reared and nurtured to precise specifications to create exceptional products that have fast become known as some of the finest black Angus beef available.

Raised and produced in the cool climate of Australia's New England Tablelands and grain fed for a minimum of 270 days, Black Onyx beef always has a marbling score of MB3 and above.

Cut: The Tenderloin

Preferred Cooking Method: Second City Prime's preferred cooking method for the Black Onyx Beef Tenderloin is to roast it in the oven! The oven should be preheated to 275 degrees fahrenheit. To meet your desired doneness, we recommend using a meat thermometer to keep an eye on the internal temperature of your meat.

Preferred Cooking Time: The Black Onyx Beef Tenderloin should be roasted in the oven until the internal temperature hits at least 120 degrees fahrenheit. Once done, move pan up to the top rack of the oven and turn on broiler for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing into it.
